UAE50 Conference Day 1

We're off! And what a great start too with a terrific introduction from Mariët Westermann, Vice Chancellor of NYU Abu Dhabi for H E Zaki Nusseibeh. Zaki's opening address was outstanding and a complete history lesson in a single lecture!

This morning's session to introduce the flavour and context of the Conference was moderated by Prof John Coughlin who also gave a great talk on 'The Rule of Law' and read out Prof Denis Galligan's 'in absentia' speech. Nick Cochrane-Dyet was there to give a business perspective and the morning was nicely rounded off by OCA's Dr Mónika Magyar with an introduction to the planned research programme to be associated with this UAE50 Constitution Conference.
